I read the first sentence, and then pulled up a video on youtube that played the sound of rain...
A good move on my part I think, it complimented the story quite nicely.
Course, I was assuming you'd carry the rain theme through to the end, and happily, I was right.
It rained earlier here today, and it's supposed to rain a lot tomorrow.

i liked the way this was so short and done in short skips from one event to another. it highlights the brevity of the weekends and their time together (both in the fic and the intervals they could actually have been together in the anime). the silence works to highlight a similar point, since Code Geass was pretty much non-stop action which kept them apart. in fact, the best time they could have obviously been together was that time skip before the end. what is more silent (read: ambiguously gay) than a time skip? this worked really well, and was calmly enjoyable to read.
