Nice start to this fic! A bit of info to absorb for sure, but still nice! I hope to see this being updated soon!

Wow...this story is absolutely amazing!! There are very few stories that I have read that tell of Sonic's childhood that are well written, and your's has zoomed to the top of the list! I cannot wait till you continue. This fic is most definately going in my favorites and alerts list!!

For people who HAVE read Blue Star, this isn't especially... erm... new.

Seems like a lot of encyclopaedia-esque information here, especially in the bits about species taxonomy and Zonal status. I know, I know, I can hardly talk about throwing huge chunks of pseudoscientific / historical text around gratuitously in the middle of a fic, but... still. At least if you have it explained by a character as opposed to a disembodied narrator, you can have other characters complain snidely (a la Sonic the Jerk in Chronicles)!

On the plus side, I LIKED all the fancy worldbuilding data that you wrote in... just could perhaps do with it being chopped up and served as sprinkles throughout the course of the fic, rather than in big meaty chunks of reference knowledge.
