i really love this story. i like how you're putting characters from earlier seasons in it, like rey and abbie and all of the others. i cant wait to see where this goes!

This chapter was worth the wait. Vivid courtroom details, believable dialogue between all parties involved and great pacing.

Your research on all things legal is impressive, as is the content of this last update. You make it crystal clear the reason for Jack's distress couldn't be further from the idea he's having second thoughts about letting Regan give an opening statement...he's forfilling his own prophecy with the wrist business... and it scare the hell out of him.
This up date is tightly written with your usual flawless characterization.

Yay! A new update!

This was a pleasant surprise to find in my inbox, and it was a great read as well. I'd love to know more about what Jack's doing, though...it seems like he's deliberately trying to sink himself, but I'll just assure myself that more answers are on the way and leave it at that. ;)

Looks like Regan has annoyed Jack enough for him to retract any co-operation he might have offered - making her job more difficult. Or is he just hoping to spend as little time in the courtroom listening to Cutter's insinuations? Either way, powerful chapter.

Good to see every one of Jack's friends lending their own expertise to preparing Regan for trial. Good work keeping them all distinct, with individual 'voices'.

You write Connie very much as she is on the show - resolute in her opinions, trying to pursue them, but not too confrontational.

A new voice telling us about Jack's history - a well drawn little sketch. Regan's anger management issues are obviously still a problem for her.

Damn!If only I was there too so I can slap Cutter's face so hard that he will need plastic surgery to repair his face.

Uh-oh...what's Jack doing now? I have the feling it's all going to come out sooner or later, but you've definitely got me on the edge of my seat with this one, especially after Cutter's opening, which was really good, btw.
