Irresponsible, maybe, but also not likely to be repeated, don't you think? I mean, how often do you find out that one of your best friends who you thought was murdered by your other best friend is alive and actually responsible for the murder of yet two more good friends that the other best friend was blamed and imprisoned for? Extreme emotional stress like that doesn't happen very often.

What a great story!! I've just read this in one go -- I'll now be hopping over to the sequel now. I'm sure it'll be just as great as 'Know Thyself.' Can't wait to find out more about Shadow's fate and Harry's and Severus' "new" relationship. Yay! :D

i liked the idea of harry walking around talking to his glasses. hahah, what a sight to see. and i liked the way you revealed to Snape harry's circumstances. very natural.

Oh, shite! I loved this story, and before I go looking for the sequel, I think that Shadow really was a twin, that Lily combined with the know thyself spell, for safety reasons. Easier to hide one child from his father than two. That's the only explanation I can come up with. You really wrote it well, hence everyone wanting Shadow to survive. Heavy sigh. Now for the sequel. ;)

I thought I would review, as I've been enjoying this brilliant story. I'm glad Sirius and Remus claim they will still love Just Harry, no matter who his father is. The brown hair makes me think it's Moony, though, but it's probably Snape. I also hope Harry confides in someone about Shadow, and even find a way for him to leave the reflected world. I have a fic where Harry finds his twin, and I hope I can do justice to it in the way you have them caring about each other, it's really great. :) Now back to your awesomeness. ;)

Normally, other languages are in italics rather than underlined. Underlining is usually for titles of books and the like. :)

Other than that, no CC for this one. Good chapter! Very believable the way that Harry had trouble accepting that he wasn't a burden; nicely done.

This bit was *adorable*. I always thought it was weird how that pair disappeared off the face of the earth after book three - Rowling could have done so much more with them if they'd stuck around...

Your Remus/Sirius seem very subtexty, but that's okay. I find that in most stories that stay true to the books, there's just an unspoken... whatever. ;)

From the last chapter, I know, but I really liked:

"‘You just had to do something stupid! And now Snape hates us – really hates us! He’s going to hit us just like the Dursleys – he’s done it once, he’ll do it again; you see if he doesn’t! Because we’re worthless, worthless, worthless little FREAKS!’"

So that's what Harry tells himself. Ouch.

It's a wonder that Harry hasn't stopped to really and thoughtfully consider the fact that he might be going insane! Also, Shadow reminds me of Katie from Anne of Green Gables... 'window friend' anyone? :)
