People are quick to see their own suffering, and, sad to say, for the most part, ignorant of what others must go through. Like the pair in the story, we too are much too sudden to say that if we are to be judged, then the person who is judging us must certainly meet a more extreme condition that what we've gone through... Yet there is one who went through inhumane treatment, who suffered beyond reason or thought, who gave to the last for us... What love was this? "No greater love has any man than this, that he should lay down his life for a friend." Not a perfect, quote, but you get the picture... Jesus is more than a friend to us... Who are we to judge? Can we not accept His gift and live, in turn, for Him?

I congratulate Tibby for standing up and "telling it like it is" in the midst of the usual postmodern liberalistic dribble about God being supposedly mean for sending people to hell, or about God being supposedly intolerant for saying,"look guys, there's only one way for salvation. All the other roads lead to nowhere."

While the issue of "what happens to those who have never heard the gospel" is an important one, and should be handled with compassion, it is more often used as an excuse by people who have already heard the gospel and just don't want to believe it. I could go on, but I can't cover this whole issue here.

Sorry, but if this was supposed to be inspiring, the only thing it inspired in me was a bit of acid reflux. The very notion of sending anyone to "damnation for the rest of eternity" is morally offensive and thoroughly revolting. And don't fall on the tired "defense" that "god's ways are mysterious, beyond our understanding," etc.: A "superior" being like a god should be more, not less, ethically upright than humans at their worst. The hellfire and brimstone ethos went out with the Inquisition.

good job dick...and God did not give them a horrible life...they had a choice to live it well... there are some people who are persecuted by the world but still remain steadfast in God... it's their choice on how to live their lives... and God did come to Earth...He died for us...even though He could have just stayed comfortably in heaven and watched...or He could say one word and destroy the whole world...but He loved us so much He came down and died for us.

That was the most horible, disgusting story I've ever read! WHY would God send them to hell because HE gave them a horrible life? Think about it. God gave us our lives, so it's his fault if we suffor. It's not like he let us pick our own! He SHOULD come to earth and find out what it's like here! Then maybe he'd realize that a few things need to be ADJUSTED on this hell-on-earth. Your story sucked!

Humm what to say? Can't say I liked it, can't say I understand it. It did help me with one ting. Made me remember way I stop being a Christian.

hell because they made God mad. The conditions were something that

Jesus (God the son) had already lived through. If Juni and Carlos had knew

Jesus, then they'd know he already did all that for them and more. They

never knew Jesus and didn't ask him into their hearts to become born again

Christians, which is the only way to get to Heaven.
