Toshiko Sato 2008-12-26 . chapter 1Wow. Nothing else can explain how good this is. The line "Blackness darkness grey grey skies" and the line that follows,"Full of evil laced with lies", are brilliant and I only wish that I had thought of them. They kind of remind me of that old nursery rhyme. Forget what it's called but it starts "One fine day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight." Try searching that if you are interested (there are a million different versions but they have the same gist). Anyway, back to the reveiw. The poem flowed incredibly, and the metaphor was painful, and perfect. Best poem I have heard in a long, long time. It was simple in its way, but also very complex; it was blunt and yet graceful. Normally my reveiws are short, sweet, and to the point, but this made me think in a way I rarely do. Brilliant. |
