The flashbacks, the setting, the little hints all were so beautifully placed throughout!

And the ending sequence really did it for me.

“I don't know about that,” his master said, brushing snow from his kirin's cheek and letting the fingers remain longer than was strictly necessary. “I'm very pleased that you've grown up at last.”


That line is going into my collection of favorite lines from fanfictions.

O.O Taiki's gotten so bold it's a complete "WHOA" moment. He's such a little schemer. XD Then again, only a more mature and grown-up Taiki has the confidence to pull off what he did. And Keiki's right that Gyousou would be too busy feeling guilty for even thinking about 'deflowering' Taiki to even confess. It's the problem with having an overly noble lover, I guess. Something that Youko has problems with, as well. *snickers* Though with the state of things right now, they could plan a secret double-wedding. XD Great job, and I hope the rewriting of Breath on the Embers goes well for you!
