I am loving this story! It's an interesting twist on how things could have turned out - and Sakura just kicked Sasuke's butt? Haha. Is this story still going or has it been discontinued as it hasn't been updated in a while? I'm hoping it's the prior. Well its a good story. My guess is that Itachi is around 17 or 21, and Sakura and Naruto or like 15 or 16, and Sasuke is younger than that. they have been stuck in a civil war for about 12 years or so. I need a time line But it is a good story.

I was lazy to review last chapter but this chapter really made me want to review right away.
Itachi's fighting is a little not like him, but it's fine. I understand that he is fighting in a war, not a one-on-one fight, but I still think he will fight differently somehow. Whatever, your Itachi is still great!
Sakura is also a little different, but I like her here better than the manga and many other fics, XD
Now, I'm wondering about their ages. Did the Uchiha war still begin when Itachi was about 13? Then how many years have passed since that time? You only mentioned "several years" in this chapter. And is the gap between Itachi and Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto still the same (5 year older, I mean)? I want to know their ages now, because they all seem to act more mature in this fic than their twelve-year-old versions in the manga. And love at 12 seems too young for me to be true love, ^^

I find the idea interesting, but there is just one thing that is bothering me: Why would Itachi use the Mangakyou against the kid, I mean if he had enough time to put himslef in the other's line of vision, then he had time to slit his throat, burn him to crisp with a fire technique without moving from his position, heck even send a shadow clone to do the dirty work. There was absolutely no need for the Mangekyou, although, going by facts the Aburame should have been dead, the Mangekyou, apparently cannot be resisted by non-Uchiha (although I would rather people overlooked that, the Sharingan is godly as it is). But anyway my main point is that please, please do not make Itachi into an useless ninja that can only do his cheap Mangekyou tricks (Being truthful, manga would have been better off wothout it), I liked Itachi because of his backstory: A genius ninja with a pretty twisted mind and motives that no one fully understood ( and I would like to stay with that idea, that he only faked his death and is waiting to appear again. Sad but I can't help it).
Anyway, this doesn't mean I don't like your story, but Itachi IS a genius, and I would appreciate it if you could portray him like that.
You know, re-reading my review, it certainly looks like I'm an Itachi fanboy (guess there's no denying that), but please, there are so many crappy stories about him, and so few that are actually worth even SKIMMING through.

i really love how your story is coming along and i cant wait till the next chapter. it was really suspenseful at the end there and i hope sakura gets acknowledged for how strong she really is soon because its got me so frustrated and excited about everything. is sasuke gonna turn out really evil in this story? its so different the plot line from every other story ive read. its pretty much the exact opposite of the actual manga. well i hope you get the next chapter up soon. please and thank you!!
