1)Wonderfully written, and the idea you're conveying is awesomely noted. Yep, he thinks he's immortal, because although he's seen others die, it's not him so there's no connection, right? I really like the line "Because dying is something that other people do" ><

Gaius is a wise-man. I wonder what his role was during the War before Uther "defeated" and banned magic. Another clever character piece!

What if Merlin is immortal though? :D That would be a big twist in the series, specially as he seems the have the ability to come back from the dead! :D

Its interesting to see Gaius' opinion on it though, I do think he's given up with trying to stop him using magic and instead focuses on stopping him at completely insane times!
