That's beautiful. It explains so much about his character, and makes a great deal of sense. Not to mention, the manner in which it was written is almost poetic; less narrative and more like something you might expect to hear as the opening prologue from a disembodied Ian McKellen type voice at the beginning of an epic. (That might just be me though.) Either way, though, it's very nice. I like it a lot.

I loved this story. Hodgins has always been such an interesting, complicated character, and I would love it if they explored him to even one tenth of the degree that you did (and of course, TJ is just a fabulous actor, he deserves meaty material like this!). Your way of explaining his life as a rich boy and his transition to dedicated scientist was great. Nice fic!
