Wow, I love this story! The gruesome and world-weary description of battle from Carlisle is so well done. Carlisle's letter reminds me of the book Atonement, when Robbie Turner writes to Cecilia. I like how even though the storyline isn't canon, it still works very well. Setting stories in wartime makes everything more dramatic and events more urgent. You haven't updated in so long- please do so soon!

Excellent job on this! I enjoyed hearing from Carlisle’s point of view. He's a very interesting character and I think that you have his tone and personality down perfectly. I don't normally review, but I was shocked to see this had none at all! You've done an excellent job, prefectly in character, and it was easy to overlook the little time difference that made this AU. It's a wonderful piece, with just enough dialogue and banter to keep the scenes from being too dark. Thank you for the story,you made my day.
