Awesome. Just plain awesome this chapter! Your story is getting better and better! I love the way people have to tell the truth when they're around Adel. It could cause quite the scene with Konoka and Setsuna :P hehe

Good story, but...stupid cliffhanger XD. That was really predictable, too...so actually, stupid Adel.
This is a good fic, you seem to have the personalities of both Konoka and Setsuna down. One complaint I have is Adel. He seems a bit too perfect for my liking, but that comes with the breed of character he is (I really don't care for OCs, if you can't tell). I've managed to overcome his cliche-ness, though, and he seems like an okay character. He does try too hard, though, as another reviewer said.

Still, I'm looking forward to more. Keep it up.

Perhaps Setsuna's reveal got ruined yet again thanks to circumstance, but you seem to master their moods, the atmosphere... everything. Good god you are too epic, showering with endless praise, wish I could say something more constructive, etc.

Now as far as plot goes, it looks like this could run a lot deeper than I imagined. We've already got shady organizations on their tail. Augh, this can't be good. And here I was hoping for more dramatic tension.

I wonder what Negi is up to now.

Adel comes off as a cautious and morose individual, perhaps thanks to his powerful yet cursed truth bearing aura. He'd really rather not get involved in this madness, but since Setsuna has all of her own issues, this won't go so rosy, will it? Plus all the upcoming issues with the Associations. How will Negi get involved?

KonoSetsu is a theme that's been beaten to death in nearly every fic, so a subversion, a unique twist that's played well, or something that isn't sugary sweet saccharine love struck is a welcome change.

Really enjoyed reading the first chapter. You kept the Setsuna and Konoka's characters refreshingly true to Bakamatsu's design (color me surprised, and impressed!), and have a knack for portraying the emotions and actions of the characters. Adel seems to be trying too hard to be TOO much a nice guy in my opinion, but I don't think I've seen enough of him yet to pass judgement. You're setting the scene well and putting life into the surroundings of the characters, I found it easy to close my eyes and picture the scene without having to fill in many blanks.

My one criticism would have to be that the dialogue seems a little awkward or forced at times, the phone call between Asuna and Setsuna for example, or the last exchange in the chapter. Elsewhere, however, it's very well written. I commend you, and eagerly await chapter 2!

It's a great start. I do hope you will continue this...
