Guest 7/16/12 . chapter 24 I know this was finished years ago but I just read it today. I have to say it was amazing. The progression of the relationship, the angst, and the medieval metaphor all worked perfectly. I adored it. |

Diko 8/7/11 . chapter 15Pie crust is an art! People take it for granted because of those already made crusts in the freezer section. Bleh. Sorry Sorry I do deserts it's what I do. And deep fried curried tofu ROCKS! Yum. Great chapter, good thing I read it before breakfast because it made me hungry. I'm really glad Brennan is helping Booth to deal with the demons. |

daffodil101 9/1/10 . chapter 24 ... okay. just finished it. Yay! 3 cheers and tankers of mead all around :op This story just got awesomer as it went and it's a definite favourite of mine! Actually the thing I liked best about it was that the angst (not that i don't like angst!) didn't run as deep as it does in many stories. You kept the connection between B&B so unshakable all the way through, which is one of the things i love about the show- that self-sacrificing, patient friendship connection, that deep determined unity that refuses to crumble under stress. A lot of people write their angst with B&B being so self-absorbed that they rip each other apart and are held together almost by circumstance. I don't mind reading that a bit, but I think this quality it a lot more true to the characters, and you've explored it beautifully :o) |
daffodil101 8/31/10 . chapter 18 I'm really loving your story here :o) I love love love the fairytale woven through it- absolutely gorgeous :o) You're right, there's great power in allegory - 'Because the story was true, and sometimes a story is more helpful than a plain explanation. Anthropologically speaking, the resonance of storytelling can reach deeper where a direct conversation can be too painful or confrontational to have.' I'd better get back to reading it but just wanted to compliment you as i went! |
anonymous 6/27/10 . chapter 24 Holy freaking shit. AMAZING. LOVED it. The only thing I disliked was Brennan's miscarriage, then again, I have always detested stories that have abortion without proper ground or reasoning and miscarriages especially if the parents are good enough to take care of the child. I loved the way you combined a fairytale metaphor, along with the humour you weaved into the story even at the most heartfelt and sad times. I really think that you are better at writing than most published authors. The story was balanced, with enough fluff and not too much action, but still enough pathos to make the readers' hearts wrench. Plus, the best thing of all, no spelling or grammar mistakes that I often encounter while reading fan fiction. It was witty, wonderful, well researched and amazing at the same time. |
coterie2 4/30/10 . chapter 2Wonderful story, I only wish that they could have had a baby at the end. Nonetheless, I loved the story they told each other and the great exploration of their characters. |
