I saw this on the DN Fanfic Rec page on TV Tropes and I thought I’d give it a whirl.

To say that I am sorely disappointed is an understatement.

It's a shame, I personally wouldn't mind reading a fanfic where L turns evil (more than he already is, that is), and he and Light strike up a kind of partnership, but the execution leaves much to be desired. There are too many plot holes (Rem suddenly sympathizing with Light over Misa, L somehow managing to kill all the Wammy kids when the Death Note can only kill one person at a time and yet letting Mello and Matt live, etc., etc.). L and Light are essentially mutated into obnoxious Possession Sues, L's fall from grace is in itself out of character for all parties, and it seems to me that you were more focused on your favorite ships and fanservice than on actual plot.

Not to mention, the Misa-bashing. It’s old and stale. Matter of fact, she probably would've made things more interesting if she'd joined the two of them.

There's a part of me that wishes you’d pick this back up again, if only to see how you would straighten this out. I'd love to see something like Sayu and Halle and Soichiro putting these two in their place, or maybe the whole thing would be an act L put up to finally expose Light, and Matsuda, Mello and Matt were all in on it. Maybe a little of both. Now THAT would be something.

But maybe this is for the best to leave it for dead.

Whoa... Was Not Expecting That From L...This Is The First Story Ever That Made Me Actually Be This Shocked...Hahh, I Love It ,.!

I love the developments in this story. This is really an interesting twist. It has been a long time since you updated this, and I do hope you haven't truly discontinued it. If you ever begin work on this again, I'd be very happy. But in the meantime, this is a very good story and I enjoyed reading it.

Now I'm sad this is discontinued, but I understand how it goes when you lose your insperation. Can't wait to read more of your work, I really like some of the unexpected things you do with the plots.

I love your story so much! I love Light and evil L! And I hope that they prevail in their evil conquest. This story is definately one of my favourites. :)

OMG! Why is Evil!L so HOT! XD Please, I need DETAILS! Smut would be so greatly appreciated that I would literally clean my room, actually CLEAN it- not just rearrange stuff so it looked nicer- if you wrote some! I haven't CLEANED my room in at least two years AND I'm extremely lazy- that's just how awesome you are. I'd explain in greater detail but I just forgot what I was going to type... ."

I finally got around to reading this chapter a month after you posted it -_-; For some unexplainable reason I've been so busy this August I'm embarrassed to look at the contents of my Inbox with all those unread messages :P

It's nice to see even geniuses make mistakes (not that Light would have been omnipotent in canon). Because, whenever they end up in a tough situation, like the one looming ahead for Light, they make the most enjoyable efforts to save their skins and spin their webs. It'll be priceless! At least L and Light have the advantage of Mello and Matt not being associated with them as fas as Near knows. When is Near planning to reveal his suspicions about Light to Soichiro? Halle probably does not have the leave to do that. Light himself cannot be seen publicly working for Kira so that hinders him a bit, but the situation would change drastically if his father with his strong sense of justice were trying to set him up or do something extreme.
