 timme 2009-03-05 . chapter 1 ridiculously fatalistic, i think. there's a simpler, more "provable" reason. war begets war. ~shrugs~ study history you see it ALL the time. the second world war had a direct anscestor to Charlemagne and the division of Europe, etc. who know's what the consequences of, say, Iraq will be a hundred years from now?
sorry, i guess this review was a bit too serious for the story. i read it for the intriguing concept, that glorfindel and erestor and discussing legolas's part in the fellowship. tolkien admits himself that he didnt' give him a huge part. |
