You didn't even tell me they were up, and here I thought we were so close now. *Sob* J/K. For a second there I wanted to push Detta out of the cave already so she would go feed and stop looking at him! But the image of the whole thing was really good. Now, tell them to heal faster so they can go dig up the others and bring them back too! :-)

Out of all the Marko death scenes that I've read, I have to say I really enjoy this one the most. It's not overly gushy "oh woe is me here lieth my one true love" and it's got a great sense of primal fury that belongs to this set of vamps. Now, I can't wait to see Detta put boot to ass.

Wow. I was on the verge of tears until the end. Then I just couldn't hold them in. Beautifully written.

Hm, it sounds like she's going to try to bring him back, but then that would be cheating. Course, the movie in my opinion left it open, but the book said he turned to dust after he was staked. I had this vision of her going off on her own and getting revenge somehow.

Sorry I haven't reviewed, but I have been reading. This chapter gave me goose bumps. It was like the movie was playing, the parts that we all know so well, in the back of my mind as I was reading the parts that you've made up to go with it. It fits so perfectly, and now I'm like biting my nails like Marko, waiting for and dreading the next chapter, because we allknow what happens. I can't wait to see what Detta's reaction will be.

*grins and gives the sign of the devil* I really enjoyed how you tied everything together in one neat package. I can't wait to see the end result and Detta's reaction to what's to come. Also the discussion of the vamp history/council rights was very insightful and thought provoking. You don't need me to tell you to keep on rockin' out.

It's all going to go to hell in a hand basket, isn't it? Can Detta save the day? will everything work out okay in the end? Too many questions I need answering! Great update, and looking forward to the next installment.

Wow, things are getting pretty tense. I liked how Max put Detta on the spot like that, adding a whole new depth to her story and immortal life. Very good job!

I'm not sure I possess the eloquence to properly describe how very much in love with your Changing Light series I am. It is a marvelous, captivating series and I feel so ashamed for never taking the time to review before now when you took the time to review my story. That said, I have to tell you that I adore Marko/Detta, and I believe that your characterizations of the Lost Boys are probably my favorite out there. I do love David, and while I usually like to see him cast not so frequently as the villain, he can be a right bastard can't he? He's the same in my story, I find it's just too hard to make him be good when it's so much more natural (not to mention fun) to let him be bad. Anywhoo, my god I've rambled, haven't I? Love the story, I cannot wait to see how it all ends.
