IF HE WERE A REAL CHILD I WOULD HAVE ADOPTED HIM AND LOVED HIM AS MY OWN. I KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE ABANDONED BY A MOTHER. SADLY THOUGH I HAVE NOT SEEN NOR HEARD FROM MINE FOR NEARLY A DECADE. Wow...just WOAH. Your story was well-woven, didn't NEARLY get as many reviews as it should have, and it just made me tear! The tears eventually came, and I told myself I really wouldn't cry, but the part where Kevin speaks to his mother for the first time in so many years, and the fact that he STILL loves her, even though she abandoned him so cruelly that fateful day..made me crack! I honestly think you need to create something that extends the plotline of this story, because it was ingeniously written, and this was a great interpretation of Kevin's life(he was so creepily in character!).

Another excellent fic! It provided a very nice backstory for Kevin. I had tears in my eyes for most of the fic. I liked watching Kevin grow through the various stages in his life. Like your other fics, this one earns two-thumbs up!

I loved the end. It took seven years for the severity to sink in, but he has the badge now and he did turn out okay. His mother is appropriately a doormat, which is the only other excuse, other than being dead, she has for not taking care of her son.
This was excellent. Is it a one shot or will you be continuing it?
