I must say, this is a very intriguing concept. At first, though, I had assumed she'd be going back to sometime before 7th year, perhaps 3rd?, in that she'd turn the pre-Voldie into something not as evil as before. Still a dictator in a future, but with more like "all magic is sacred, regardless of origin. Those without are filth and deserve to be ruled" and such.

I'm interested in how you'll have this turn out, but my theory resides in that once Hermione's time turns "run out", per se, she'll die like intended.

I liked the humor at the start of the chapter. I find it ironic that Hermione was labeled a "pervert" by tom riddle, especially since he is so corrupt. The theory on the Timeturner is more original than you would normally think when using the Timeturner as a way to get Hermione back to Tom's time.

You have a good control over what discriptions are appropriate and what is not. Comparing Tom Riddle to Voldemort in Hermione's thoughts is appropriate while a long list on why Tom Riddle is dashing is not (most authors tend to start Tom's character build up with that). I'm not saying that Tom should be hidious, but in the given circumstances how pretty Tom is should be the last thing Hermione thinks.

I find Hermione's portrayal so completely "cool" figuratively and literally. In most fanfiction Hermione is either aggressive or wimpy, but you captured the fact that since she was active in a war, she would be defensive at first, regardless of who she was meeting. She is hurt obviously, but her reluctance to accept help is something that most authors miss or over look. :)
