Long but good and worth the read but if you don't want a story that you get invested in then this isn't the one for you.

Oh thank god for well written, intelligent, thoughtful fanfic! its been a long while since i found anything as carefully developed, well, plotted and character driven outside of a published novel. i loved that you really got into the meat of the moral dilemmas at the centre of this story and played around with ideas of deliverance and mercy in ways the arent usually seen in BtVS fic. And that you managed to write a totally riveting, and scorching hot romance plot all under a T rating. i've spent the better part of my day reading this, and its been thoroughly great! one of my favourite moments was the final scene between Drusilla and Angel- it was so poignant and she was so childlike that I couldnt help but get a little teary reading it. Father Ambrose was such a kickass original character. i havent been involved in the BtVS fandom in years, but this is going on my favourites list. thank you for this wonderful read!

okay, when they first said "Angelus' seer" I was so sure it was Drusilla. and then Angel got all worried about Cordelia and then I thought," oh, never mind then."
and then when Drusilla came in this chapter i was like, "HA! I NEW IT!"

This is the best fic I have ever read period. This truly just blew me away.

I love Oz's suggestion. It made me giggle. I love Angel's angst about going evil, even if it was just a few minutes. I love Willow being all BAMF witch and Cordelia snarking back at Angelus. I love Giles being protective!daddy about Buffy. I love Xander finding someone he can look up to. I love Anya being antisocial and awkward.

I could go on. Do you want me to?

I only just started reading this, but I could tell from the get-go that I was in good hands. The conversation about Jello? Brilliant. "Flavors don't apply to Jell-O. Just colors. Welcome to the world of synthetic sustenance." So true. And I think I literally squeaked when this happened: "Because you're the only one of her friends I know of who has been tortured." Yikes! Way to stop the reader's heart cold. And those moments are only about fifteen lines apart! Way to pull a Joss on us. (Joss: n, an act of emotional whiplash that somehow works, possibly as a result of dark magic.)

Anyway, just wanted to share my enjoyment.

I think you're a good writer. I think your depiction of Angel is a tad off, but that is a personal opinion.
