I actually love the ending. Dasey stories get quite annoyingly ooc because of the fact that them showing any interest in each other romantically is ooc. I wish there was more of a variety in different ships for ffs. :(

As a fan of Dasey I may not have loved the ending but this was a decent one-shot. Nice job.

OMG! Although I am a Dasey fan, and I do love Dasey, I actually DIDN'T hate the ending. I've been waiting for someone to write a depressing Dasey where they DON'T end up together. Kudos for being different, and having the courage to post this with much of the fan base against you!
My only critique would be the tense, past tense tends to sound more natural, where as present starts to sound a little weird, but that's just a personal opinion.

Both Derek and Casey come to the realization: They will never be together.

But screw destiny.

That's how I would have ended it, all in all, it was a good fic, well written compared to my piece of crap. Good Job!

okay, the ending isn't all that great but I like the editing (lol). Great plot!!
