Iris Mist 2005-07-12 ch 1,	abuseYES!! Locke doesn't just drop Rachel after she "sets him free." The interaction between Locke and Terra was so cute! Though I don't think "cute" was the aim, but after I read it, it just felt like, "Aww, that's so sweet!" I really liked how Terra said if he wanted hot chocolate, they could trade. It just seems like something she would do. I dunno. And I liked how Locke wanted her to stick around. So sweet! ^_^ And I also highly approve of the Edgar and Setzer part. Especially the Edgar part. I always thought the two were close friends, though the game never really showed it. Oh well. Great piece! Adds another to favorites
Anrixan 2005-06-19 ch 1,	abuseThat was extremely well written. WOW...I have been on this site practically all day to find something worthy of reading, and I'm glad I stumbled across this. Yeah, I hate how some people think that Locke can just magically forget the one girl that he's ever loved. Yeah, please. Locke is by far my favorite FF character...Not to mention that I'm endlessly fascinated with the Locke/Rachel story. His entire personality is basically built off of the bridge accident, and it's rarely mentioned throughout the story. (Except when you go to Kohlingen on the way to the Opera House) That was an excellent thought process of him...and a very sweet conversation with Terra. (Thank you for not making it Celes. I love Celes dearly, but there's something about her and Locke that I just don't like. Although this wasn't a Terra/Locke pairing, you still know what I mean, right?) Oh, look at me, I'm babbling. What I'm trying to say that you've captured Locke's feelings perfectly and this was wonderful. Take care!

In my opinion both Celes x Locke and Terra x Locke are great pairings but no matter how much I love both pairings, I think Locke would choose Rachel if he had the choice between Rachel, Terra and Celes. Anyway, great story and keep up the good work!

And I do like the Terra content. ^-^ I think you have a very good point; Locke was still hooked onto Rachel for six years and one conversation with her isn't going to make it all better.

Themis56 2001-12-30 ch 1, anon.	abuseIt's very refreshing to see a fic that focuses on Locke's struggle to overcome his past love than any current romantic relationships, be they Celes or Terra or anyone else. As noted in other reviews, it WOULD have been nice for Rachel to clear up everything with twenty words or so, but it ain't gonna happen. :P And the Terra/Locke interraction is sweet without being overly mushy. I like playful banter. :) Very novel, tenderly-told story.

Janell 2001-12-09 ch 1, anon.	abuseThat was beautiful... I just recently finished the game, and it drives me crazy that Celes got Locke instead of Terra! And goodness knows there aren't nearly as many Locke-Terra fanfictions as there SHOULD be, I guess everyone seems to agree with Sqare on that issue. But the fic was well written and it almost put a tear to my eye.

And I agree: Rachel can't grant Locke immediate closure with her words. People who usually interpret it that way are all for Locke and Celes getting together (MOST of the time, NOT all of the time).

I like how you didn't have Locke profess his undying love to either Celes or Terra right after trying to ressurect Rachel, like so many fics seem to do. Few people seem to take into account that Locke still had a lot of issues to deal with surrounding the event. This is a totally believable scenario in my opinion, having him talk to Terra about his feelings after the whole ordeal. Good work!
