Such a sweet, romantic ending! Everyone is content with being with their loved ones, and they live so happily ever after... The last part of this chapter simply made me smile, especially the Hijikata/Otae version:

- "As long as you’re here with me, Toushi... That’s all I need."
- "I want you, the person who believes in me, to stay with me. I want to keep you happy, Otae."

Aww, that was extremely lovely! My heart just melted when I saw these sentences. Jeez, I wish these two could end up like this in the manga like how you depcited them here... *pouts*

Aww, the union of Hijikata and Otae in the end of this chapter made me grin like a fool in front of my computer screen... Finally, he came home for her and their son. So touching and sweet! *bounces around happily*

And Kagi has a little brother! Thank goodness Gintoki managed to come back to Kagura successfully. It's also great to see that Kaede finally sorted out her family matters. Now she can be free and be together with her beloved Okita.

I really admire the ninja's generosity and kindness while reading this chapter. And wow, Kaugra is going to deliver another baby right now? So many children in this fic! Hope Kaede would be safe when she's out of the safe hideout.
