It's been a while since you had submitted anything to the site, and even longer since you had written one of these film parodies. I haven't seen The Burbs (and I'd rather not watch it on YouTube) so I can't say much about that aspect of it. Something I do want to comment on is the use of some Japanese food. I think if the setting is presumably the United States then there should be somewhat less Japanese food. If the setting were changed to a place in Japan that might explain the food, but I think the whole "neighborhood" motif is probably more of a Western trait so keeping the setting in America is probably for the best.

I'm thankful for the cast list at the bottom—while I guessed most of the characters ahead of time, I had no idea who Joey was supposed to be. It's also cool that you encorporated the Japanese title for The Burbs into the story. I'll be willing to help for other chapter titles too if you wish. In the meantime, I'll find the film and watch it. I'll be a better reviewer for this story once I see it.
