Hmm, this is a conundrum. You label it just as a friendship, but the idea of sleeping next to each other, and especially the comments about "kisses," make it definitely seem like romance. And my first obvious thought was that it was Dib (or maybe GIR, but the story discounts that theory), yet you never mention him by name, and somehow I think it might be somebody else. (Dib doesn't seem like he would help Zim, unless there was more to the story we're just not hearing.) So, basically, this story is good but freaking out my obsessive need to fully understand. Which I think was your intention. So good work and damn you!
