Well, your story definitely has different sections and styles to it, and this later section- even with its confusing time plot is nice for style, plot, character and romance. Earlier parts had some good character moments, but stylistically was a little more disjoined.

Okay so the thing that made future Ianto depressed is that he thought Jack left him, but really the Doctor just didn't return him on time/yet.

Complex...and good story implication bit on the fact that 1405 Ianto's Jack had to leave so as not to cross his time line with 51st century original time agent Jack.

I enjoyed the vacation relationhsip moments... not really sure about the amount of elapsed time, though.

M. Okay.. but kind of disjoined since they got off the plane. And since Jack has never transferred his healing and restorative powers before, they can't be sure that it will last. I'm going to work on suspending my disbelief that they're sure it will last, but hoping they will come to their senses and just take things one day and one week at time with if it will last or not. At least that will give Ianto some hope.

Interesting twist. What is an act.. and what isn't. This is where Ianto gets his revenge by acting cruel and cold. He's allowed considered how Jack treated him, of course. But hoping things get a little better.

But I couldn't be that easily transferred -- permanently, I don't think. Well Jack is not a scientist, he was a boy soldier who had to learn everything the hard way.

Very exciting.. the flashes seem to becoming to him when he's awake. I wonder what Jack wants. Enough memory for Ianto to continue with him after vacation, but a muting of the hurt parts? That is if Ianto can break through 2 years worth of retcon - Gwen just had a few hours worth to break through.

I'm enjoying the original elements you've been adding - even though I do hope there is either a sleath crossover with highlander or some magic/mystical explanation of Ianto's healing factor, like being able to store Jack's energy.

Angsty... but I am gathering that all of these are memories that Ianto is seeing in his dreams, not just the back story?

Interesting implication. Maybe he does heal awful fast - from a bullet wound. The reason could be internal or external (Jack's touches, or storing some of Jack's energy inside him).

Okay so you answered that. And smell sense memory is very strong. I guess Jack is hoping he'll still have a bit of Ianto or enough that he'll remember and come back. Despite only seeing a teasing seduction to get him into Torchwood in Fragments, GDL believes and Jack and Ianto were physical in his early Torchwood days - just that Jack was all he had left after Lisa. Good show on what is AU in Ianto's own small actions or in-actions.
