Wow. I love how you managed to keep the story both emotional and delicate at the same time. I have to admit that reading about your childhood heroes sleeping with one another was strange as heck, but once you get past the first awkwardness, it plays out really well. An amazing, beautifully written story.

I really like the way you handled Gladstone's luck; in most of the Barks works, Gladstone only gets a few windfalls per story, but turning it into such an every-moment-of-his-life deal really works with his personality, which you also wrote very well. Daisy's argument with her inner thoughts in part 2 was nice as well.

This is very well written. I'm not a huge fan of Gladstone - who can relate to someone who always wins? - but I can see why Daisy is attracted to him.

I have to be brutually honest. Even though this story had well-written emotional content and good inner AND outer exchanges, I didn't like it that much. I guess it's partially because I'm not that crazy about Gladstone.


It has something about the facts that almost everything usually comes so easy for him and, unlike many egotistical types, his ego rarely comes back to bite him in the behind; which just makes it easier for me to sympathize with Donald (I bet that's how Daffy feels about Bugs Bunny, but I digress).


Also, like another reviewer kinda said, something about the thought of Daisy cheating on Donald doesn't really sit right with me.

Despite that, however, I still respect the fact that this is YOUR story and I don't blame anybody but myself for reading it.

Seeing how there is NO shortage of unbelievable lazy men who have things WAY too easy, I somehow find Gladstone VERY resistable.
