To be fair, for all we know the Commandant could be having him beaten and tortured or someshit, but he seems just fine standing there with his arms folded behind his back nattering to you telepathically. *pouts*

The thoughts that popped into my head... The images... Oh god, I think I just proved to myself just how demented I really AM. *stifles mad cackling* That line will be engraved on my mind forever. And ever. xD

Oh yeah, great story. *thumbs up* PLEASE, PLEASE write more? Or at least another story of a similar nature? *puppy eyes*
There aren't enough good Fable II stories out there.

Simply loved it. You made the hero life like, very much unlike the actual way he's represented in the game, and the interaction with both Hammer and Garth made up for what the game was lacking where the other heroes were involved. In the past I have read your Fable oneshots and enjoyed them as well, so I can only hope that you write more for the game's sequel.

I completely enjoyed your story, Fatalistic. ^^ Having just beaten the game a few nights ago, I came online to try to sift around in the fanfiction to see if there were any stories to help relieve the somewhat lonely ending--and so far yours is my favorite. Relief by humor if nothing else.

Everyone was marvelously in character except for, perhaps, Theresa, who was as unflappable as a stone angel in a graveyard. But then again, after listening to this nonsensical conversation, who wouldn't be a little aggravated?

Yet amid the fun and amusing dialogue, there were the hints of seriousness, the marks of ten years of hell on the Tattered Spire, the "unexpressed grief" that clouds your Sparrow's eyes that somehow the strong and expressive personality you've given him doesn't quite cover up. Also in the foreshadowing of the possible fate of the family he would rather be spending time with instead of traipsing through Wraithmarsh.

Great story, truly. I also know what you mean about it getting frustrating writing for no one. I've got a story in mind that I might write to ease the lonely ending a little, but I think I've been a little held back by the fact the the Fable fandom is a bit lonely itself.

In any case, if you would ever like to write a longer fic or a multi-chaptered one for Fable II, I will definately be around to read it!
