This just keeps getting better. I love your writing style, Juna (or Stu? both?). You have the rich vocabulary to carry the density of imagery and emotion packed into these paragraphs. And you've got the masculine voice down pat. There's no place here where Gio slips into talking the way a girl (or Henry?) would talk. These passages are fueled with testosterone. The dream sequence was wonderfully inventive and very much like real-life dreams. Bravo for a wonderful, very professional piece of writing. I can't wait to see what you do with what comes next!

I like how we can navigate inside Gio's conflicting mind with your story and how he tells us all about his trip. You are a love! The imagine of Gio "stripped down to his undershirt" and working in barns and fields. Oh my!! my!

And what a nightmare! you got me breathless... poor Gio! wow... that was a good nightmare sequence.

Juna - like usual your stories are fabulous. Though Gio is angry in this chapter he's still Gio, and still wonderful to read about. I love it and can't wait to see him grow (and hopefully the ending to turn out different than the show!).

This opening chapter definitely makes me feel the same way as the "you broke my heart" scene in the show. Poor little Gio. He needs a hug!!

Yes! I like this revamped version of The Flight! What a flight from hell, how miserable. Gio sounded so bitter and angry, you conveyed that very clearly! I liked the addition of him staring into the mirror. You vented out frustrations through Gio, this chapter create suspense by making the reader want Gio to find some relief from his pain. :(

Wow, are you not the first Getty match to write a story together? It is so impressive. I love how Gio's nerves are so raw that he can't bear to see the happiness of those around him. Especially people who probably remind him of the dreams he had for himself and Betty. No doubt he already had the name of their own first toddler all picked out, and had also pictured those scenes of the two of them in their sunset years, rocking on the front porch together, still in love and remembering the wonderful life they'd had together. I feel his anger in your words and even more the heartbreak that is driving it. I have to say, when I got to the end of the chapter, I was a little angry myself, because I wanted to read the next chapter RIGHT NOW! Please hurry up and produce. You have me enthralled!
