Nice, there isn't a lot of good Kataang fan-fics out there except for the rare few like Liselle and DJNS. Nice to know that this whole place isn't swarming with Zutarians although some of them like Orgo can spin a good tale out of it.

Amira, you have, once again, hit upon something that has a great deal of truth in it. Many of those in the military have their own little rituals such as this. While their spouse is gone for up to a year or more, the wives (or husbands in some cases nowadays) will often keep something that reminds them of their spouse, while the servicemember will have a picture of their loved one that they kiss every night, letters that they re-read and hold up to inhale the scent of the one they love back home, etc.
