Briryan 2009-06-19 . chapter 1 Cute story. Sorry for the late review!P Loved how Legolas was slighlty puzzeled. One could almost see his head tilted to the side. Off to read another story. |
Keji 2009-05-25 . chapter 1hehe! Though it was quite sad at the beginning, things didn't end up looking too sad in the end.
sigh, that Aragorn is some lucky lad.
But oh boy, I was feeling soo bad for Arwen! I can't bare goodbyes either, and when you mentioned her thoughts on saying farewell for the last time to her ada, I felt a lump in nmy throat! WAH!
this was soo well written, you portrait her feelings so good, i could practically feel her sadness.
gee, I think it was sadder than i first thought...
Well, le't's see how much more I can read tonight, lol. I decided to just ignore my inbox and just go to the author's page and see which stories I haven't read... makes it easier than browsing the thousand emails. |
NaughtyNettie 2009-02-02 . chapter 1Very nicely written as always. Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to more from you. |
 azab 2009-01-16 . chapter 1i liked it |
LiQuYu 2008-12-03 . chapter 1A very nice story. Well written and bittersweet. Well done! |
asdfjkl; 2008-11-21 . chapter 1 love it! keep writing, please xD |
Firefly-Maj 2008-11-20 . chapter 1A really beautiful story. It has a quiet atmosphere to it which emphasizes Arwen´s situation and how she feels, and which perfectly fits to her and Legolas´ meeting at the tree.
I have often wondered about how she would feel facing a life in Minas Tirith, which is so different from the places she has lived in before, and you have answered this very well.
Thank you for this little treasure! |
Foxgurl0000 2008-11-18 . chapter 1That was so touching and sweet! I love it! I love these interludes you write, I think I've said that before but I'll say it again because I mean it! You're awesome! Until next time!:) |
Imbecamiel 2008-11-16 . chapter 1Oh, such a wonderful look at the bittersweetness of Arwen finally receiving what she's desired for so many years, being with Aragorn at last, joined with the joy of victory over Sauron - and yet at the same time the sorrow of leaving the life and homes she's known, her people fading, and being parted from Elrond. This is such a sad story, and yet so absolutely beautifully done. And, in the end, you leave it with such a wonderful tone of hope. And I absolutely adored the interaction between Legolas and Arwen! To be honest, I've not often particularly enjoyed stories with a lot of interaction or close friendship between Arwen and Legolas. But I just loved this!
Just wonderful, and very enjoyable story, mellon-nin. Even on my fourth or fifth time reading it - and that says something! *bg*

lindahoyland 2008-11-15 . chapter 1I love this story and your depiction of Arwen. |
White Wolf1 2008-11-15 . chapter 1Your description of Arwen's feelings, especially concerning her father, was incredibly said. To me, the deeper the emotion created, the better the writing. Your writing always brings about the emotions that strengthen the story. In other words, you did it again. :o)
The quote from Tolkien at the begining set the tone, and you took it from there. I love the wild part of the garden. (I can identify with that, because, even though I don't have any rose bushes, I live in the country, and the back part of my property is full of overgrown bushes and lots of trees.)
It was essential to get inside Arwen's mind and heart, and you let us do that. It was hard for her to have to say goodbye forever to Elrond, but I like that throughout the narrative, you made it clear that she did not regret her decision to stay with Aragorn.
It was so right that Legolas would be up in that tree when Arwen showed up. There is somehting soothing about talking to a dear friend when you are sad. Legolas may not have been able to fix the situation itself, but his very presence was good for Arwen. (It would be good for any of us, if that particular elf showed up!) :o)
The way the story ended, with Arwen coming to realize that she could get through saying goodbye to her family, left me with a smile.
Wonderfully done, as usual, mellon nin. |
Altril 2008-11-13 . chapter 1This was gorgeously written. The language you used to depict the scene was wonderful, it almost felt like I was dancing through the words as I read. (Does that make any sense?) Anyways, it was beautifully done. Well done. |
StarLight9 2008-11-13 . chapter 1So beautiful, Tinu, and so sad and cute at the same time! It's true that there are so many similarities betweens Arwen's and Legolas's fates - they have given so much for one man, and have received so much in return. Aw! Arwen's sorrow was very realistic and well written - I could even feel it. It's good that she and Legolas have each other for comfort, and the lonely road will not be so lonely. Great work! |
LupinandHarry 2008-11-13 . chapter 1Aw that was really sentimental and nice to read.
I've had a horrible day, this made me smile. ^-^ |
 Dinelleth 2008-11-13 . chapter 1Well done Silivren Tinu! :)
Legolas and Arwen would be proud of your efforts to bring to life this possible encounter between themselves! ;)
