I just read both this and Golden. They were stunningly good. I liked the characterizations of both Rio and Riot. Both were dead on. It's one of the best characterizations of Rio that I've ever read. Normally, I have to admit liking the Riot/Jem dynamic better, because Rio seems rather dim by the end of the series. In "Needful", he seems to be actually more in control.

I'm really looking forward to anything else you choose to write. Of course, I'm partial to Jem stuff, myself. Thanks.

You write so beautifuly and have such a uniqe grasp on this triangle that exitsts within Jem. I am so pleased you wrote more.
