britt 2008-12-22 . chapter 1 *puts hand over heart* australians all let us rejoice for ... THAT WAS GOOD AS!! HAHA. soo insanely sterotypical but soo good. ha agree about the american comments how they would have no clue what is going on. but i would like out country to maintain some dignity... so... we do not actually talk like that... all the time:P
great story!

 Annie-Lovely 2008-12-20 . chapter 1:D that was gold!
i'm Aussie too, and it was so much fun reading that, with all the translations i didn't realise Aussie slang was as, huge as that, well, like you can make a whole story up and people will have no clue what your ragging on about :P
and i love that it was so over exagerated, i mean, i hpe people reading that don't think we use all that slang at once :) well, i don't anyways...
great fic though, very entertaining
Xx

choc-sundaes 2008-12-14 . chapter 1I'm a proud Aussie as well, but know all the Yanks are gonna think we actually talk like this! But yes, it was very bogan :) |
cheaterinpink 2008-12-12 . chapter 1I clicked on this story, and then found the aussie dictionary at the end, which intrigued me more than the actual story. So, I read the aussinary instead of the story. I think your Australian terms are really cool. And definitely funny. Like, for example, franger and buggered if I know what these flippin' shelia's want! Really quite cool. I wish that my country had their own mini-language like that, but all we have is singlish and that's not even proper, more like a misconjugated sentence with unneeded additional words. GAH. Anyways, I did skim through your story, so this is no lost cause. I think the characters are REALLY AU, but that's probably your point. Troy's way to comboyish for me, from what I read at any rate. Gabriella seemed bad-tempered, from what I scanned through. I probably misinterpreted the character's personalities because I just scrolled through the story quickly, but never mind. ou probably put effort into it. :D

 em's-imagination 2008-12-12 . chapter 1This is hilarious!
Its straight out of... some really bad aussie movie or something. Its too funny. And you definately need to continue it. And if this review isn't enough, along with the 24 others you already have, i'm going to pester Kylie about it so she can convince the rest of you.
Top aussie stuff. love it! I can just imagine all the confused americans trying to work out what it all means. brilliant! |
ZacFan18 2008-11-21 . chapter 1Oh my gosh, this had me in stitches! Some lingo I'd heard before and other lingo I hadn't, but overall, still basically understood it all and it cracked me up. And your version of the song...simply hilarious! If y'all see fit, I'm sure a continuation of this would be very interesting and amusing. :-) |
young-and-free 2008-11-16 . chapter 1That was hilarius and pure genius. Makes me proud to be an Aussie! |
