Sorry I'm late reviewing, I just got back from two weeks in canada. But, great chapter! I loved the lines: “What’s wrong with Liesl? She’s acting like father.” “She’s rather good at it!" Nice job with adding more to the movie; the parts we don't see. I hope you keep updating still!

I think this was my favorite chapter so far. I love how the whole family sort of comes together for that; I always liked that part and it's interesting to see it from her point of view. Well done.

I'm glad you've updated, I like this story and I'm interested to see if you'll write about what happens directly after Maria is re-hired. After all, the children probably don't know right away.

This is such an amzing look at Brigitta; really, at the entire SoM family ... I love how you've characterized Maria, and how Brigitta looks up to Maria and Liesel and sort of takes care of the little girls, even if she feels inadequate about doing so.
