iluvromance 2009-09-15 . chapter 22 i was wondering if you could finish the story and give anne and gilbert's story into it too. pretty please. can u start writing soon? can diana and fred get married? please finish it. anyways. great so far. |
Pinkfurball 2009-08-13 . chapter 1Your telling people to go read other stories?! Well I like your story and I can't wait to see who Gilbert ends up with! |
november21 2009-07-24 . chapter 22This story is... cute. I hope you don't mind my word choice. My one complaint would be that the summary doesn't exactly match up to the story, but the story itself is very likeable. I can't wait to see what happens next. |
tvor 2009-06-27 . chapter 22 It has been years since I read Anne of Avonlea, but reading this chapter, it all started to come back to me. I was duly impressed by your knowledge of fabrics, which have always confused me. I have my own ideas (probably wrong) of what organdy and seersucker look like. I'm glad George was able to get to Charlottetown and that everything worked out. Another favorite part - when the girls were deciding on the perfect type of hat. They were so organized and practical about it! Finally, I like how you write George/Lizzie, too - it's a very straightforward and sweet romance. Of course, the way absolutely everybody knows about how Gilbert feels for Anne is great, too. |
manda2784 2009-06-27 . chapter 22Good chapter. Is Anne perhaps getting ready to give up the denial routine in regards to Gilbert :) |
tvor 2009-06-21 . chapter 21 I'm going to miss Oliver. He added some spice to Avonlea and definitely kept everyone on their toes. But I am glad that Diana doesn't have to promise to accept Fred. I like how she's keeping her options open.
I'm especially looking forward to Anne's teaching. Since this is what didn't happen, I'm curious as to how Diana will pass her time. Will she be dodging suitors like Fred or encouraging him? |
The Labyrinths Scribe 2009-06-17 . chapter 20This is an amazing story! I've only just started & finished it within the past couple of hours and I truly do love it! I haven't, unfortunately, been able to read any of the books in the series past book one, something I mean remedy shortly :)
I have seen the three part series with Megan Follows and Johnathon Crombie! I absolutely love them and have since I was a child. If you haven't seen the third part yet, I highly reccomend it-It's actually my favorite part in the series! Wow this is a long review, lol. Anyway, excellent job and can't wait for the next chapter! |
tvor 2009-06-14 . chapter 20 What a surprise - two chapters, a cliffhanger, and the plot thickens! I'm really enjoying the extra background information you slip in. Fred is half French? And I love how George is falling over his feet to do everything possible to make Lizzie happy.
Aside from that, poor Diana is experiencing some turmoil. I liked how you echoed Anne and Gilbert's fight with the disagreement between Diana and Oliver - and how Diana showed her maturity through apologizing and learning from her mistake. I'm also curious about how on earth you will resolve everything. Diana falling in love with Oliver was unexpected and her father's condition about Fred very surprising. Hopefully, everything will work out to Diana's satisfaction! |
Lady Eleanor Boleyn 2009-06-13 . chapter 20Oh dear, Diana! You seem to have got yourself into even more trouble than before! And George seems to be in a real dilemma - he really wants to go to that concert to please Lizzie, but at the same time, he knows he desperately needs to catch that last train to Charlottetown. What on earth is he going to do?
I like the way you've written the different personalities of Anne and Diana - Anne really is as imaginative as ever, whereas Diana, as she gets older, is beginning to lose interest in Anne's flights of fancy and vivid storytales. Can't wait to find out how Anne's first day of teaching goes! |
 manda2784 2009-06-13 . chapter 20Great name creation with Valentina Violetfellow. I love it! |
manda2784 2009-06-02 . chapter 18Poor Diana lost her filter for a minute there. Good chapter! |
tvor 2009-05-30 . chapter 18 I can't believe Diana said that to Oliver! It seems Anne's penchant for saying things off the top of her head has rubbed off on Diana.
And this is the end of AoGG? I wasn't expecting that quiet so quickly. But I am glad you are continuing with the series. Now that Oliver isn't speaking to Diana, that rather narrows the field, courtshipwise. I'm looking forward to it. |
manda2784 2009-05-25 . chapter 17Great chapter. Reading Matthew's death in the book always made me cry. You've done a great job with your interpretation of events. |
tvor 2009-05-24 . chapter 17 Good luck with your larger cast of characters. It will make things more complex, and always more interesting. Anne's shock at Matthew's death, its suddenness, was portrayed quite well in this chapter. But since this is "What Didn't Happen" I was sort of hoping Matthew wouldn't die so soon. |
SilentlyRead 2009-05-17 . chapter 16I think you have done a great job with these past two chapters. It's great that you're starting to merge more descriptions and dialogue. Of the two chapters, I find the Sewing Circle was slightly stronger, but I think the descriptions in regards to George was great.
In Tell A Tale, there could have been some more descriptions during the cooking scene and epiphany. I also felt like Diana's epiphany was forced, maybe you should have a better explanation of what triggered it?
I think you're doing fabulous work and I really do enjoy reading your updates. Keep up the great work.
