This story kept me on my toes the entire time I was reading and I was blown away by the end. Just, wow. A simple horrific tale that doesn't give everything away and leaves some details to the imagination. I liked that ya tied a little of the X-Men into the story in regards to the antagonist (and I knew it too! Darn kids and their toys! lol). Man, my leg was jittering during the whole infiltration scene, which was genius by the way. Things are just not what it always seems to be and Rhodey's misunderstanding of the situation at first and Iron Man's struggle to handle it portrayed that well. The dynamic of Rhodey and Tony throughout the story was just awesome. It was just very "them" ya know.

The line that got to me the most though was,"How'd you make them stop crying? Tony had asked him, hours ago, in another universe altogether. What did you do when they cried?" That right there brought the scene together and I felt bad for those all kids and parents and poor Rhodey for not catching on sooner.
Oh yeah, kids can be crazy. Period.
Anyway, I enjoyed reading this story and will be reading some more of your stories. 'til next time. M.E.

Fantastically written. I haven't been this creeped out by a story since I was about eleven. It was extremely well thought out and the story paced quite nicely. I could believe this actually happening as part of the continuity because you got both Tony and Rhodey spot on. The spot on characterization helped to make this almost like a short story that could bridge from the first Iron Man movie to a sequel (something that comics generally do). Loved it!

I had already read this and it creeped me out then, it still creeps me out now. Really well done.
