Well, you just reviewed my story Exhilaration, so I wanted to come and do the same! This is the first one I've read so far, but I loved it! You're right, it was a different take on Con Man. I especially liked the interaction between Booth and Jared, as I found it very believable. I think when most authors write Jared they only pen him as a jerk, but you managed to get the sibling rivalry and the tone of their relationship perfectly. I'm going to read more of your stories, for sure!

It doesn't matter how many fics are written around a particular episode - it is always good to read one with fresh original ideas...& you have certainly done that with this one-shot.

Loved the conversation between Booth & Jared, I liked that even Jared could see the way that his brother felt about his partner...even if that is what spurred him on to kiss her at the gala...just to spite his brother. The talk between them outside the bar - in the show - was not satisfying at all...to Booth, to us. Jared was not able (did not want) to see what Booth was trying to say.

I wish that Booth had been aware of the conversation between Jared & Brennan, not to mention the shoving him off the stool...but then again Brennan should never have been having that conversation in the first place, she should NEVER have had those thoughts about Booth! What WAS she thinking??
I am glad that Booth now knew how upset Brennan had been by the thought that she may have irrevocably damaged their partnership & friendship.

**Their protestations, their perpetual denials and declarations that their relationship was strictly platonic – was it as big a load as everyone seemed to think it was?
...you'd better believe it...a big fat load of BS..no doubt about it. :-)

...if only Jared felt the same about family loyalty.

...but I, on the other hand, am finding it hard to to forgive her & the writers, to say that to him, to understand how she could think that, for allowing her to ever think that Seeley Booth was the Booth-lite brother & a loser - certainly not the feelings that we have been led to believe by them throughout the show.

Loved Booth's reaction to knowing what Brennan said & did to his brother...the way that iit motivated him to face his feelings, to go to her, to tell her...

Loved this fic, they both remained in character & this would have been a perfect ending to the episode *sigh*...from your mouth (fingers) to the writers ears.

Aw...Booth should've known how Bones totally burned Jared by shoving him off his stool and I laughed at that part!

I loved this! Showing Booth and Jared discussing what had happened was, I think, definitely a new take on the post-ep fics for this episode. I love that Booth took what Jared told him and decided to leave Jared in the car while he went upstairs to kiss Brennan, haha. Great job!!
