Wow, I really loved the whole Yami/Hikari thing going on in this story. There were some really profound thoughts in here. I think you portrayed Bakura's emotions very accurately. It wasn't too affectionate, but still very clear that some sort of bond was forming.

Reading this makes me kinda wonder: are Ryou and Bakura really the strange ones, with a shaky bond? Or are Yuugi and Yami the strange ones, because they have somehow found a way to have an affectionate bond despite their natural differences? ...Of course, that's probably just me babbling, but it just shows how very thought-inducing your story was. Excellent job!

Hey, what an awesome story you have here. Its absoulutly amazing. I loved how you desrcibed the Hikari/Yami bond...I am at a loss for words which is really rare for me. Excellent job, I felt so bad for Ryou when the stupid Pharaoh was saying those things about him. >.< Well anyway great job!

One thing though: 'Konnichiwa' means 'Hello'. I know I'm going to sound annoying, but actually "Konnichiwa" means "good afternoon" not "hello". But other than that, fantastic story!

That was incredible...I've never been too good at picking up hidden themes, but I do recognize the truth in it. The lighter side of myself always wars with how mean I can be, and while I hate that I can allow myself to feel such a way, I don't actually hate myself. It's my "lighter" personality that becomes the mask of my emotions, too...

Wow... just... wow! This is an amazing fic! Man, I can't articulate how much I loved this fic! (Quick Note: to Freisturz - I'm sorry YOU didn't enjoy this fic, but I don't think you should have reviewed like that. If you're not in the mood, wait or don't review, especially if you didn't even finish it! It sets a false impression for other readers. And you're wrong about the mistake.)
You kept everyone in character while presenting the situation, a challenge for most people. I felt so sad for Ryou after what Yami said to Yuugi. You explained Ryou's emotions wonderfully.
The same follows for Bakura. The second part of the story was what made me favorite this. I love Bakura's struggle between his disgust for Ryou's 'weakness' and his natural protectiveness as a yami (which, of course, he's trying to deny). And you did it all without turning this yaoi! The highest praise for that alone! I loved how he finally called Ryou by his name at the climax of the argument. So very well done!
You're right; there are many hidden themes in this fic. Let me mention a few I liked particularly. I loved how a part Ryou's personality has become Bakura, and in a small way, vice versa. It can be seen in Ryou's original inclination to even eavesdrop, and the fact the he was justifying it. Subtle, but there. ^^ I also appreciated Bakura's explanation of the relationship between hikaris and yamis. That was brilliantly written. Last, I love the symbolism in the title: HikariYami. I don't know if this was intentional, but it seems to embody the theme that the personality of the hikari (in this relationship, at least) is victorious over the darker personality.
Again, I can't say how much I enojyed this fic, and recommend it to every Ryou-Bakura fan!
