Oh wow! Awesome! I would have loved to see some follow up to this one (but when it comes to Tony and Gibbs there is SO MUCH left unsaid... I'm looking at you, 'Requiem'!)

Wow, I loved this for many reasons. First of all, it's a great premise, I too had trouble with that final scene, didn't like what Gibbs said and how it ended. I also ADORE your summary, talk about hooking the audience! And your descriptions were fantastic, my favorite was when you said Tony didn't know who he was, and that was a side effect of going undercover, I"ve never thought about hat, but it makes sense. And then the description of the light from the door at the end, and why Tony likes it, also very real, and raw. Great fic. Straight to favorites for me.

Oh god. This just... broke my heart. It's just what I pictured happened after Chained. God, I love that episode, but now I love it even more.

I was always really intrigued by what DiNozzo said at the end of 'Chained' and even more by the section just before the end when he was driving the car in silence... Jeffrey in the back. I always wondered what what going through his mind back then.

You took me inside Tony's head... and your portrayal of Tony's emotions was both powerful and subtle. You didn't overplay Tony's anger or Gibbs's concern but you also didn't underplay Tony's need for help or acceptance of it.

All in all a fantastic tag to Chained.

What a fantastic read. Tony's acute distress and the rawness of his feelings were described to perfection and his actions were so believable. I loved Gibbs' reaction to Tony losing it and, finally, leaving the door open back at his place was a wonderful close to this great story.

This is really well written. There are a lot of very good fics out there where the characters express angst, and self-doubt, but in this particular situation I think anger is a more honest response. When you’re hurt, or stressed, it’s easiest to take out your frustration on those closest to you. If you work in such a high stress job, at some point, you have to let off some steam. Aside from being unhealthy, if your job requires that you carry a gun, walking around with a lot of unresolved anger could be very dangerous and I would think that G would understand that. I guess this is my long-winded way of saying that this is a really believable scenario. Thanks for sharing.

What a wonderful story! The episode 'Chained'is one of my favourites (together with SWAK and Requiem), and I never tire reading all the stories about them.
What about that handcuff, though? If I interpret correctly, it's still on when Tony goes to sleep ... wouldn't that be just a little bit uncomfortable?
