Needed a funny one after the first chapter. I do have a suggestion, although this is a Southern thing. You can make a turkey explode if you attempt to deep fry it without thawing it first.

OMG, thats terrible. Poor mom, poor Roy, poor Johnny!

You could always do what a friend used to do. He bolted his Christmas tree upside done from the ceiling! That way it didn't take floor space and no one except him could decorate it! It usually had lights on it and that was it! I put bells on the bottom of my tree. That way it scares the dogs away from the tree.

When my kids were little, I used ornaments that they made as the only ornaments on my tree.

Another piece of advice, If you use a real tree make sue you water it every day or you will have a dried out fire hazard in your home.

As always your writing is very clear and the characters are very true to form. The story so far, however, is rather sad. Hopefully things will improve!
