I liked this little somethin' somethin' you had the urge to write.

Nice job. I always tend to enjoy fics that are broken up into smaller parts during the timeline of their lives.

I like that you did Dean in first person. We get to really feel for him and see his heartbreak and joy.

Wow, how did I manage to nmiss this one Denise. It was totally awesome to see the relationship between Dean and Sam from the time that Sammy was born til the day that he would eventually lose Jessica. I loved the way that Dean started refwerring to Sammy as "my baby" right away. He was protective even before their lives were shot to hell and that only grew throughout his life!

Well done. Writing first person is so tricky but you did an awesome job.

I liked your "little muse". Especially the image of a little Dean taking care of a little Sammy :-)

This was really awesome. I loved how you started from childhood and worked you way up. You should continue on into the season, if you so get the urge.

Nice little insight into the head of Dean Winchester, his connection with his brother, his concern, his 'ownership claim'. "My baby", "my little brother", like a parent he is very possessive but his love is also finally overruling his need to "own" Sam, allows him to understand his brother's need and allows him to let go. At the same time he receives the greatest gift he can, Sam lets him know he missed him, with it confirming that he never will quit loving him. Too bad that after this everything falls apart. I love how you crawled into his head and actually became Dean. Great story. Happy Thanksgiving, hugs, Vonnie

You have written some really deep moments into this one. Certain phrases and idea's that you use for Deans observation of Sam are brilliant and moving.
Only typo I noticed was 'Sanford'! It made me laugh as we are moving to a place with the same name :)

Loved that trip through Sam's life up to the Pilot, through his big brother's eyes, it really worked. In all the little snippets one thing shone through, how big a part Sam is in Dean's life and that from an early age he had considered him his responsibility.
Great that you ended it Dean being proud of what Sam wanted and was going after in his life, although tragedy was just about to strike.
