I cracked up when his mother said, "You were always my angel." Too bad Hogan hadn't been there. He would've gotten a truckload of blackmail! Then again, the tree probably would have creeped him out a little.

I'd finally gotten 'O Tannenbaum,' or at any rate those fragments of it that I can remember, out of my head before I read this story. Gah.

On the other hand, I thought the story was hilarious- especially the first bit.

Your story made me laugh! I could just see him happily plotting the demise of those he hated and yelling at everyone around him. Very amusing story.

Hahaha! This is great! I love Major Hochstetter! I can totally picture him "hanging" his little ornaments. "I will surround this tree with a ring of steel!" Hahahaha! Oh you make me laugh so much! :D

Haha! This was so funny! This is exactly how I would picture Hochstetter decorating his tree. The angel on top was a nice touch, too. I think it is funny how you quoted the TV show with his "ring of steel" quotation. I was kind of surprised that his mother wasn't disturbed at seeing ornaments of people being "hung" on the tree, but hey, this is Major Hochstetter's mother. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Stupid o'clock or not, it's a deliciously funny story! Especially that part about the stolen candy cane! ;-)

Certainly a different twist on the Christmass theme. But it's about what I'd expect from Hochstetter. An angel in his likeness - sounds like him. I wonder - did it come complete with bat wings, horns, pointy tail and pitchfork?

Hochstetter is one of my favorite characters so I expected something different. But I enjoyed it at the same time. Good job.
