This is great! I love when authors go dark and play with the themes that are there but can't really be explored in an action/adventure. You've taken about two lines of dialog from KotCS and created a character. Great job.

Maybe from Mutt's point of view when he finds out about Colin's death...or Marion's point of view when she finds out about Colin's death...our Indy's point of view when he finds out that he has a son? The list could go on and on...please write at least something more! I like your writing and would like to continue reading it!
