Not sure if you know it but Vyse and Aika are both from Skies of Arcadia. The refferences to the sky for both of them is actually a refference back to that game where they're sky pirates.

If they asked I'm sure thier friend Enrique could have dropped by through the game with the Valuan Armada and unleashed ownage on the Empire quite easily...
