Wow, another amazing chapter! I'm really glad that Ramrod(or Torsion or whoever) and Nova got all of that worked out; it's such a relief. Although I do have to say, it would have been interesting if the problem was not solved so quickly. More suspense would drive me even crazier, sure, but it would also have gotten me hooked even more. :)

Ah, I simply adore Starscream. Him and his twisted, amazing sense of humor.

You've picked a good name for Ramrod's alter ego, and the way he made his appearnace is wonderful, too.

So there was a way to solve this desaster.

When there's one thing neither Megatron nor Starscream ever really were then that was being far-sighted.
Nova seems to be and even if he's suffering because of it, now, it makes him a better person and will help him in the future.

Here's my take on Chapter 22...

I'm very concerned about your development of the Archivist. He is turning into one of those overly wise, all-knowing, powerful original characters... So far, you haven't given him a single noteworthy flaw... This is mighty dangerous territory IMHO... Seriously though. He knows too much, without enough evidence to show WHY or HOW he can be so omniscient. And now he's suddenly some kind of Kung Fu master? At this point, unless he turns out to be like... the avatar of Primus or something, then he's just too damn unbelievable. (and a primus-in-disguise angle would be cheesy anyway.)

Plus, he made disparaging remarks about Soundwave's talents. Gr.


Chapter 23 / Rise Extras:

... Highbrow is dead! Yay!
So I take it from the latest chapter of Rise Extras, that the battle in the second half was all the senate and Ratbat's doing, and Prime had nothing at all to do with it? I'm kinda curious what's happening on Prime's end of things, or what kind of conflict is going on between his crew and the Senate's right now. BTW, I do enjoy your portrayal of 'creepy Ratbat'. How the heck did that guy manage to exonerate himself and get back in good with the senate anyway?!? (Heh... I suppose that's politics. :) )

yah! Ramrod lives! I was worried that you'd have to kill him off...just like you did with thundercracker. But I'm happy he's free now and that Highbrow is dead; have I mentioned I favored the Decepticons more? XD

and you'd think that the Autobots wouldn't be so stupid as to use an Omega Sentinel; getting crushed under a massive foot is not good!

I love how he lashed out right at the end and took Highbrow out instead of Nova X3 (because he lurves~ him /shot) A-and I love Nova in his I R LEADER mode and the sentinel smackdown and how weary Nova is already seeming of this whole business AND I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING, ALRIGHT? <3

Poor Torsion/Ramrod they've definitely got issues...good that Nova seems to be willing to give them a chance to work it out...and he did kill an Autobot Senator that's major props right there...I'm glad Torsion was finally able to fight the programming...it'll work out better for him in the end methinks...

O...sentinel's are scary...I suppose that it's good the Cons had one laying around or they would definitely be having some issues...it's good to see that through this all Nova still holds many of the same beliefs...like collateral damage being unacceptable.

It was definitely interesting that he looked for OP...I wonder what will happen when he's forced to fight? I mean...will OP even fight him I wonder? I find it hard to believe that he would...could be a rather interesting encounter...

No, I'm not very surprised.
It was quite obvious that Ramrod was an unwilling spy and I'm far more curious how Novy will solve this problem and if you have found a way to save Ramrod from being killed as a traitor.
At least it seems as if his stronger "Ramrod"-character is becoming aware of what his original side does - he did save Nova after all.

So, the archives - are those the archives of one of the original 13? Wasn't there a keeper of wisdom?
I've got a list somewhere but I'm too lazy to search right now.

I can't say I saw that coming, but I had my suspicions. I loved this chapter; possibly more so than many of the others. :) The suspense was killing me, so I'm happy to have at least one mystery solved, even if the problems are far from over. XD Great chapter.
