Not to sound silly but I noticed that this didn't really have many reviews. It's fantastic though. Reminiscent of poetry jams. You did a fine job of walking that line between lyrics and prose. So, hey, yeah, great job.

Beautiful story! I read a slightly different version of this story at the Atheneum - I think I liked that one even better, though I had a bit of trouble figuring out that the "he" was Herc. In any case, well-done! Beautifully written and genuinely moving - enough to overcome my bias against a Herc/Gab pairing (or Herc/anyone) pairing. Bravo.
