I do hope the plot is going to thicken. You've done a marvelous job at the exposition, hopefully the story will continue to develop.

As for characterization, I don't think you need to worry. Because Victor and Linda haven't been explored as much as, say, Derek and Angie, there's not really an indication of very right characterization. Even in our little TC corner here we authors have written a lot of contradictory characterization for both, especially Victor. I don't consider your characterization far off; it's not something to be anal about, particularly since TC is not very character-driven.

Great job on this chapter - you're doing an absolutely fabulous job of advancing the plot and really digging deeper into the characters themselves, especially in regards to the way that they think and what really makes the reader identify with them. It sucks to see Linda just get torn down time after time, but maybe later she'll be able to appreciate the good in life, no?

As for that a-hole, let Victor kill him. It would be funny, haha.

And yes, you are doin it rite. :) I honestly don't know why more people don't see this as a pairing - probably because of the fact that they hardly ever cross paths - because it's just too weirdly perfect.

Sad to see what's happening to Linda - that girl just can't catch a break, huh? Well, maybe Victor will swoop in to save the day, though I have a hard time seeing him save anything without a test tube in his hand. :)

You're actually the first one to come up with a fanfic which involves VictorxLinda! And a well-written one too. Though I've never really heard of this pairing, nor thought about it happening, I'm actually interested in seeing what you have planned next--one of the few times I've ever actually became attached to a fic involving random pairing:) Very nice!

What I liked about this was your writing style. You grasped Linda's emotions fairly well- giving the reader a better view of one's Chronic Depression. The characters were also generally in character- which is a very VERY good thing, especially when you are writing a non-canon pairing. I also liked the part where you wrote, "Fuck the pain [...]" I don't know why, but it made me chuckle a little, albeit it wasn't supposed to be funny. :sweat:

Anyways, hope the next chapter won't take too long because you ended this chapter in a way that makes me wonder how they'll hook up.
