I absolutely love this. I love Danny challenging her on the "I'm not expecting anything from you" statement, and I love the confusion and hope in both of them.

And Danny grabbing her by the wrist and immediately loosening his hold when he realized he was hurting her seemed very true to the character.

I have read plenty of post- The Box stories and most of stories took place after the last shot. I was waiting for someone to tackle the 'I'm not expecting from you' angle and I'm really glad that 'someone' is you! And of course, you did not disappoint. I especially love the ending because it's not absolute, which, in my opinion, makes the story real and believable. The fact that you did not go down the cliche line (by making Danny and Lindsay kiss and make up at then end) is a testament of your creativity and understanding of the complicated situation the characters are facing. Two thumbs up just for that! :D

I'm happy to see you back in this fandom. As always you capture the characters perfectly and the mix of the angst and the humour is perfectly judged. My favourite line has to be 'marry me for the sex then' - perfect!

I needed this! I didn't realize this was missing until you wrote it! Great Fic!

I loved, loved, loved, loved this - as usual.

For whatever reason I didn't walk away from that episode wondering what happened next. I'm not sure why because you'd think that would be a natural thing to imagine. Maybe it's because the episode ending left me with such a sense of hope for D/L.

So when I saw that this story dealt with what happened after the episode ended I was pleasantly surprised. This story brought D/L (and me) back down to earth a little bit in a good way. The hand touch was hopeful but they still have to deal with reality.

I could practically feel the anger and tension simmering in Danny over what Lindsay said. And I loved how stubborn he was about it. The part where he let's go of Lindsay's wrist after she says he's hurting her broke my heart a little bit.

And Lindsay is sort of defeated by it all, wanting nothing but to curl up into her self-made cacoon. So in character!

I loved Danny's 'I know you too retort' and his insight on Lindsay being a planner - so true!

I loved the touch of humor at the end - his unexpected (and very Danny-like) proposal. And the 'marry me for the sex instead' line made me laugh out loud.

The I said it/ you didn't exchange was so absolutely honest and beautiful. Perfect.

And just like the episode your story ended with a wonderful sense of hope for D/L. I can't wait to see what's in store for D/L and I can't wait to read your next story. Wonderful job!

You write Danny and Lindsay in a way that it's easy for me to see all you write in my head perfectly. Feel their emotions. Very intense but you close it with just the right amount of Danny humor that I personally find charming.

I hope to see more of your work especially if it's about those two.

Aw, come on! This can't be all you have to say about this developement and those two! I'm pretty sure there's something more on your mind. I'm just really happy reading something from you again. I know, you changed fandom, at least a little bit. So I'm really glad to see you come back to New York and two our favorite CSI people.

I'd love to read how you'd develope that storyline if you had anything to say. I'd love to get to know how the lab would react, if they get married or not. If they move together or if they keep their seperate appartments. I'd also like to know if you would come up with Ricky. Humor had it she would return this season, but maybe that has changed. Oh, and I'd love to hear what you have to say about the Flack/Angell developement.

So much going on, so little I really spent time on to read. Can I talk you into calling this chapter a prolog and developing a longer story? Please?

Lord knows there's going to be a lot of these types of stories (obvious to me since I'm working on one:) ), but I have a feeling this one is going to stand out over the crowd. The characterizations just seemed completely on point here, and I love that Lindsay and Danny are still able to laugh together, even when they're terribly unsure of where to go next. Wonderful job
