The angst was kinda nice. I'm normally not much of an angst person, but this was good. And it describes their relationship SOO well... I love Mello to death, I was actually rereading death note recently, and whenever I saw Mello I was like "MELLS!" and when I saw Matt I was like "MATTY!

Normally I don't like to see these two being so openly lovey. To me, it's always seemed out of character for them to ever utter those three little words... But THIS! This has convinced me that it can be done. It's a beautiful thing when done right, and you certainly did it right.

I adore this structure and your narrative voice. I'm admittedly a sucker for collection-of-moments stories - they're so powerful when well-written, as this one definitely is. Every word and every moment is golden, and you have every right to be proud of it! It had me wondering who these thoughts really belonged to, and I smiled at the end to see that it had been both of them all along. Perfect. ^_^

It really did make me want to cry, too. I was all misty-eyed by the end!

This story was absolutely beautiful. I think I've read every single one of your Mello/Matt stories, whether they be one-shots or your multichaptered stories like Savior and that other new one you just started about Christmas that I can't remember the name of (sorry about that), but I don't think they've ever been as angsty as this. No, I KNOW they haven't.

You portray their relationship in a believeable, beautiful way, when it was friendship and romantic. I think I loved reading the Wammy's house part of this the most. Oh, and the end. Only they could keep up the teasing when they're about to go off to their demise.

So, basically, I just love how you write these two characters, and this is the best one-shot I've read involving them in a while. Congratulations on writing this excellent one-shot.
