(Somehow I forgot to review this story last time, so here it is!)

I will admit, I am part of the 0.001% of the population who have not seen the original Star Wars movies, but thankfully I've been filled in about the plot by friends and the internet so I know what's going on.

That aside, I enjoy the father/son angle you've developed between Silverbolt and Nightscream. Watching BW you wouldn't think Silverbolt would be very competent in that endeavor but here he's got the appropriate mix of paternal concern, wisdom, and gentleness that makes for a great dad. And though I'm not familiar with Nightscream's character I find it endearing that he's emotionally established himself with Silverbolt (and maybe to a slightly lesser extent?) with Blackarachnia. In any case, I'd love to see more family bonding fics like this in the future (maybe with Nightscream and Blackarachnia next time?). ^_^

Very interesting, and provocative too. Megatron is portrayed as the immutable villain throughout all series and yet you've made me, like Lt. Myers, wonder for a moment if Megatron was simply being pure evil or just extremely crooked in his view of the world to have done what he'd done. I also want to say that I find your rendition of Megatron extremely fun to read. It's not easy writing villains but here Megatron's both in-character and got a good deal of character development.

Firstly this is the best way to wake up on a Saturday to find this on your LJ and find this- it certainly had my fan girl heart doing flips of happiness- and secondly when you mentioned Symphony X I looked it up on Youtube and the first one was “Set the World On fire” and like night scream I had no idea what they were saying but I listened to it while reading this and at the end where you said it was the exactly song being played I had another little happy dance at the luck of it all. This was adorable and really funny as well as deep which in my opinion- along with the large helping if NS and SB- made it better than the second chapter of Sparks of Salvation although DC in SoS is simply brilliant and I love him. There were particular lines that I really liked and they are as follows:

That'll be the day. He was surprised how quickly Blackarachnia's face came to his mind. She would probably find the whole conversation hilarious. “My dad, actually.” –It’s just confirmed now that they are his parents and I get all warm, fuzzy and a tad hyper thinking about it and reading this. Brilliant line about BA because it’s just so true, she is a fantastic sassy character and I love how you portray her especially from NS point of view.

Boy wonder- I’m not sure how sad thins makes me but I had to smile at Mary calling him this, just because it’s the title of your other NS side story and then I thought how strange of her to call him that but oh so fitting.

Primus, Rattrap! - trying to play the peacemaker- this reminded me of the episode where they “strike goop” and rat trap is drilling with Nightscream while Optimus and Cheetor argue through Rattrap about the plants and he’s like “Kid do you want to trader places” and NS replied “and get in the middle of that, no way.” In such a teenage way. Daw I liked it when NS and RT were like buddies.

“My dad's here.”- For reasons above, you gave my heart another reason to squeal in delight like an over excited guinea pig. Best intro you could have done but that’s just in my opinion.
“You know, your dad's kinda hot. If you grow up half that good-looking, I hope we run into each other again. In a few years, anyway.”- Ah, Mary! This made me laugh so much I couldn’t help but think of what a clever way to hit on someone and of course SB would definitely be hot.

Cellular telephone- oh such a typical SB way to say cell phone or mobile XD.

I am very curious to see these films that have the potential to keep you occupied for nearly six full hours.”- I felt just as surprised as NS reading this –though I was also more humoured. Things must be bad!

Nightscream stuck his tongue out in the most childish manner he could manage, - Daw NS.

“Oh, right,” Nightscream managed to conveniently forget selective parts of the first film. “Well, I did say Luke was going to try to fix him. It's a good thing Leia's not his kid.”- I am one of the people emerging from under a rock and only ever saw snippets of star wars as a child and knew the basics but this was like WTH when I read further along, incest was so not expecting that one but thanks for informing me inadvertently XD.
“So I know after the whole deal with the jets you're going through a thing and you mostly talk to Blackarachnia, but if you want to, you can talk to me too.”- I really like how childish yet mature you make NS in this one side story and makes him so in character for me and in fact so much better, I love how you portray him- I’ve probably told you and will probably tell you again but still your such a great writer.
“It's not your job to entertain a whiny kid who drags you to movies you probably don't have the slightest bit of interest in,” Nightscream shrugged. “You do it anyway, and it makes me happy. So next time we'll do something that makes you happy.”
He knew even before the grin materialized on Silverbolt's face that he'd get stuck in a place with lots and lots of books, but he didn't mind. -

I just found out about this story two days ago. Don't know why it took me that long. =)

Anyways, I won't comment on the plot because that's not what this story's focus was on. It was the characterizations that mattered and you really delivered. My favorite part had to have been the one where Dinobot and Nightscream had their conversation with Dinobot testing the younger 'bot. The story was extremely in-character, especially when Dinobot asked Nightscream if he was the progeny of Silverbolt and Blackarachnia.

The final scene was also pretty humorous with Dinobot telling Nightscream to leave or else get tested for his "combat readiness."

Anyways, good job and I hope to read more from you in the future!

Oh, why is someone as amazing at writing as you trying to make me like Beast Machines? I did like Nightscream, and I think entwining him with Blackarachnia and Silverbolt is genius-as-usual for you, but I hated what they did to Cybertron, and Blackarachnia's temperment, and Silverbolt's ideals so MUCH - so I absolutely cannot fall in love with a Beast Machines continuation fanfic! That being said, I'm putting this on my favorites list. Great stuff.

I just wanted to say as a massive Nightscream fan that you are the only author I have come across that can write him with any credibility and accuracy. I always see him as special but I know that is blind fondness – though his toy stats give him 10/10 intelligence, actually his stats overall are all good but that’s just silly fuel for my fangirling- Anyway I like how you have made him younger than he was in Beast Machines, I can imagine living on his own made him grow up fast which makes it even better that you’ve given him a family in family so he can be a child.
Do you mind if I go into a Nightscream rant, you can ignore it I just really need to get this out because it’s swimming in my head ever since I re-watched Beast Machines?

I guess the only reason I liked Nightscream was because the first episode I watched was “forbidden Fruit” and I got attached to him so overlooked his ugliness and everything else people don’t like about him. But looking back I see he probably played a more important role than people give him credit for. Rattrap considered him a friend, enough that he first transformed to save him; he helped save Blackarachnia’s spark; encouraged Cheetor to take a stand against Optimus when Optimus didn’t appear to be thinking straight, He was a “busy batty” in sort of helping Silverbolt and Webs re-gelling in a way, and on quite a few occasions Optimus was sort of a father/guiding figure for him but I also feel Nightscream’s views helped Optimus a bit as well because he offered a different side and overall he tended to balance things out. I know Megatron found him useful at least twice- poor boy being manipulated but I did quite like him being kidnapped since that’s unusual as Megatron wanted to destroy them all most of the time – but twice he damaged Megatron such as depolarising his spark and when he managed to trick Megatron during the mission with Blackarachnia and Silverbolt (“you mean I ...” when Silverbolt said they put Megatron out of commission and Nightscream had to correct them, that was once of my favourite scenes.) I really liked his attachment to Nobel/savage, because he was so caring and I know he was deluded during the first part but it shows he has a big heart.

Sorry about that I could have gone on but I will restrain. I really enjoy how you portray Blackarachnia and Silverbolt in your work, can I guess they rate quite highly if you had a favourites list. I’ve only just seen some of beast war episodes but they make one of the best canon couples going. I really like the line “Nightscream cocked his head to the side in the manner he did when he was thinking, a gesture he had picked up from Silverbolt himself.” I’m glad he has a good role model and everything you’ve done I’m very grateful that I’ve had the chance to read it and this was certainly the cutest instalment so far. I can’t wait to see how Nightscream does in your future works especially as out of everyone he’s probably the most vulnerable- after Blackarachnia since she can’t transform yet -which could be complicated for him( I’m just going by the fact in series two he seemed to continuously getting hit or ending up unconscious), Oh dear Silverbolt has a lot to protect. Oh dear I’m assuming too much, sorry ^^:

Wow... this is impressive.. Poor night scream Iam still scared of Dinbot-- god he would be ugly as a human.

But the store of Cheetor and Black is adorable too..

I love the idea of BLack and silverbolt being Nightscreams Parents.

A bunch of nice one-shots, but I think that the last one was the best ;) Dinobot can be really scary sometimes, I'd like to see him training Nightscream, however ;)

"Sparks of Salvation"? I'm going to keep an eye on that title ;)
