I think Dean deserves a shoulder to lean on. He's been through enough already. It's good that Sam is there to help him through his nightmares. Dean is always so busy protecting everybody that he needs to slow down and let someone help him for a change.

Wow, this was just heartbreaking, Dean wondering what his parents would think if they knew. I kinda wonder, given that John was in Hell a whole lot longer than Dean--are we supposed to think he ended up giving in too? I would be surprised if it doesn't come up at some point on the show, since his parents' opinions were always so important to Dean. Glad Sam was able to help.

It really is the ultimate hell for Dean to be forced to hurt other people. You really wonder sometimes how he'll ever be able to truly get over it. Poor thing.

It really feels like a conversation Sam would have with Dean, and it almost broke my heart when Dean asked Sam if he thought their parents would be disappointed in him.
